Worthing & District Branch was formed in 1946. NARPO, the organization, was formed in 1919 with the objective 'to safeguard the rights of members and promote measures for their welfare, with particular regard to pensions.'

We cover the following areas, Arundel, Ashington, Yapton, Littlehampton, Ferring, Angmering, Durrington, Worthing, Findon, Lancing, Sompting, Shoreham, Southwick and Portslade. We are a very active Branch with around 376 members, including Additional Members of other Forces. We greatly value these members' contribution to the Branch.

Apart from fighting for your rights as a pensioner we have an excellent social life. We generally meet at the Worthing Rugby Football Club Angmering, but this year we shall be trying out other venues. Our AGM is in April and our Annual Dinner is in October. In addition we hold a Summer Social Event and a Christmas Lunch. We aim to organise outings and holidays at home and in Europe.

The Branch currently provides free NARPO Diaries and a quarterly Newsletter for each member. Members that have an email address can benefit by keeping in touch with the Branch more readily. We operate an email circulation of any relevant documents.

As well as our other activities we also provide free welfare advice and support in addition to maintaining close links with the Sussex Police Welfare Trust Liaison Officer.
